Men’s Soccer Hosts Loyola on Saturday Night

In the Bulldogs last match, Bradley held on for a 1-0 home win despite being outshot 19-13, including allowing six shots on goal. The Braves’ shutout was the first league game Drake was held scoreless this year. In Drake’s other MVC action this season, Valparaiso rallied for a 3-2 win and Central Arkansas broke open a scoreless game late to win 3-1. Freshman Leroy Enzugusi (Marion, Iowa) has a team-leading four goals for the Bulldogs, including a pair in MVC action. Loyola was the preseason favorite to win the MVC. The Ramblers have struggled in their past five matches with a 1-3-1 record with conference losses to Bradley and Central Arkansas. Loyola took both matches against Drake last season, but the Bulldogs lead the all-time series, 7-4-2. Senior Kyle Thomson has a team-leading three goals for the Ramblers.
