The other is between the city limits of Tuscaloosa and Highway 215 on Bear Creek Cutoff Road.District 3 County Commissioner Mark Nelson said the new speed limits will help residents.“Well, you know, we’ve got a lot more traffic coming that way now since we’ve made the changes to Bear Creek Cutoff and Bear Creek Road and how it connects us to 215,” Nelson said. “So, we wanted to be consistent with the speed limit.”Nelson said one of the biggest concerns when considering the new signs was consistency and safety.“There were some areas that were posted one speed limit and some that were posted another,” Nelson said. “So, we want to be consistent so that the public can be aware and travel a safe speed and also be aware what speed they needed to travel.”last_img read more
