Just hours after the bill was passed, a statement was released by the government of the neighbouring country welcoming the decision.FYROM’s government stated that the “Republic of ‘Macedonia’ warmly welcomes the decision of Greek Parliament to ratify the historic Prespes Agreement, ending a three-decade conflict that hampers the develpoment in the region.”FYROM Prime Minister Zoran Zaev congratulated Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras for his efforts in ensuring that the agreement came to pass on Friday afternoon. He uploaded a photo of himself and Mr Tsipras on his Twitter account, and wrote: “Congratulations my friend @tsipras_eu, together with our peoples we reached a historical victory.
